In the fall of 1988, some young parents in our church saw a need for quality childcare in the North Myrtle Beach area. The plans for a child development center began to unfold and the center was voted in. August 1989, a dream became a reality. First Baptist Child Development Center opened its doors to the community and was the first church in North Myrtle Beach to successfully combine daycare and pre-school in a Christian environment.
Our center has become a role model for other churches to follow. Our program is designed to bring unique opportunities for children to play, investigate, and discover their world.
Today we remain the only church in North Myrtle Beach offering full time care for infants through school age children.

Development Center

Our program is designed to bring unique learning opportunities for children to play, investigate, and discover their world. Most importantly, we believe each child is a gift from God and our goal is to be a living example of God's love in their lives.
We strive to provide experiences at First Baptist Child Development Center that encourage children to become faith-filled individuals as well as lifelong learners.
"But Jesus called the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.'" Luke 18:16
