First Baptist Child Development Center is blessed with the most dedicated and caring staff on the beach. With 17 of our 22 employees working with us for 5 years or more, we can provide a safe and secure environment for your child. In addition, staff are required to receive 15 credit hours of continuing education training as well as CPR and first aid certification.
Director: Cindy Parker
Cindy Parker has been a part of the Child Development Center since it’s creation, over 20 years ago. She began her career at the center as the Assistant Director in 1989 and was promoted to Director in 1993. As director, she has seen the center grow from an enrollment of 45 children to 120 and from a registered church facility to a fully licensed daycare/child development center. Cindy’s love of children and community are the cornerstones of First Baptist Child Development.
Assistant Director: Amy Matte
Amy brings many years of experience to the Child Development Center as she has previously taught and managed another center. Amy started her career as a classroom teacher and has most recently been teaching a four year old class for First Baptist CDC. Her strengths include good parent/child relationships and strong administrative and computer skills. Amy and her husband Roland have been married for seven years and have two beautiful children. They currently reside in Little River. Amy and Roland enjoy spending time doing outside activities with their children and are members of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Amy is a real asset to the CDC.
